In conversation with Kelly, a friend from high school, I decided to start a blog that I actually keep up with. It's validity? ehh, that's questionable. I generally just meander through thoughts and come up with something quite ambiguous and quite pointless as well. However, I shall try to keep this thing up and have some sort of meaning for whatever poor souls stumble upon it and decide to invade my brain.
Thus is my title, "why do we blog?"
Why do we take technological marvels, such as AIM and Facebook and turn them into mechanisms for maintaining contact? This makes no sense to me. Now, yes, I do fall to this. Facebook is definitely my friend. However, I do find the question "why have I used that to stay in contact with people rather than write them a letter or make a phone call?" taking over my mind. I miss verbal communication somedays. I miss hearing inflection. I miss seeing underscores under words that mean a lot. So much emotion is taken away by this technology business that seems to not be going away soon...note the sarcasm...again if you heard that, you would have known.
So I guess all of that is to say, I am begrudgingly joining the bandwagon and creating this blog. I hope I don't bore you too much.
oh, and I think all of you should listen to Chris Rice.
